Balancing your Job Search with your Job

Finding the right position takes time, and time is valuable!  Time moves fast, and trying to get it all can feel daunting.  Between maintaining productivity at your current position and balancing time for the family, allowing yourself adequate time to find the right position tends to take a backseat. Having someone who can help in the job search gives you time to focus on the priorities at hand while letting a team who knows your background and the hidden job market keep you informed of the best opportunities.

Increasing Number of Ways to Connect

searching for a new job

The more technology becomes involved in our lives the more we must evolve to incorporate it.  Most of us have been using social media in one way or another over the past decade. These platforms are no longer just a way to keep up with old friends or follow your favorite celebrity; they are tools you, as an individual, and we, as recruiters, can take advantage of for your career advancement.

A recent post by Capterra Talent Management Blog states, “94% of recruiters use, or plan to use social media for recruiting. This number has increased steadily for the last 6 years.” Making yourself available through these platforms allows us to know not only what your area of expertise is, but also to give those who can help a plethora of options to be able to contact you.

Capterra also reports, “While 94% of recruiters use social media for their jobs, only 39% of all employers use social media for recruiting and hiring.” The statement gives merit to the idea that although companies need to fill roles, they are not being proactive at finding the right individual.  Allowing someone to find you multiple ways increases your chance of being found for the right position, because the right company may not be looking in the right places.

Flexibility is Our Job

We understand that looking for the next opportunity is not an easy task. Looking for that new job while at your current one is stressful and availability for calls, e-mails and interviews is limited.  We are on your time and not the other way around.  That’s why we are available weekends and after hours.

We Listen

full-time job search

A sheet of paper with your background and professional abilities only provides a vague description of who you are.  Nothing is a better form of communication than actually talking!  We want to know your goals and aspirations, where you want to be in 5 or 10 years down the road.  What drives you to succeed and what environments are not conducive to you.  That information is key to a successful career move.

Our Goals Align

We both want you to get a job.  The right job that fulfills your career goals and aspirations, and that is more than just getting hired.  So, when you find yourself looking just know we already are, and are only waiting to connect with you.
