The ASA reported (link https://americanstaffing.net/posts/2019/03/14/staffing-employment-sets-record-high-in-2018/ to ASA report) that an estimated 3.23 million temporary and contract workers sought employment through U.S. staffing companies in 2018, up 1.4% from 2017, according to the ASA report.
While staffing companies hired 16.8 million temporary and contract workers in 2018, the average length of employment with staffing companies dipped from 10.7 weeks in 2017 to 10.0 weeks in 2018, according to ASA.
