Sales and Marketing Manager
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary: $125,000 – $135,000
Leading and well renowned chemical manufacturer of glass, electronic displays and chemical products located in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, is looking for a talented and motivated SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER to help enhance companies profitability and take it to the next level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops and meets annual sales budget from existing, targeted, and prospective accounts in assigned territory through direct, written, and verbal sales contact.
· Negotiates short- and long-term contracts to secure business by establishing pricing, terms, volumes, grades purchased, release quantities, packaging, shipping details, and creates and implements rebate programs to protect market share.
· Maintain relationships with customers through planned sales calls, telephone and written contact. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor in securing our position as a long-term material supplier and business partner.
· Provides accurate sales forecasts, budgets, account call reports, and territory presentations.
· Maintains a competitive knowledge base in assigned territory.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or other technical field. Business and/or marketing background may also be considered.
· 7+ years’ experience in chemicals (solvents). Proven track record with prior technical sales and/or technical experience is required.
· Must be a self-starter.
· Excellent leadership and communication skills.
· Able to work independently and function within a matrix styled management philosophy.
· Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and various ERP systems.
· Frequent overnight travel required for managing territory (60% – 70%).
