Position Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Staff Accountant to directly support the unit Controller across global accounting, corporate tax, internal controls, financial reporting, and process improvements for AR, AP, and operating expenses (PEX). This role serves as a critical operational pivot point, managing key closing cycles and acting as a primary liaison to international shared services teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Closing & Analysis: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings. Prepare journal entries, manage intercompany invoicing, complete account reconciliations/accruals, and conduct thorough AR aging and bad debt reserve analyses.
· Global Collaboration: Serve as the primary managerial liaison to global shared services and collection teams (including GBSI and FSSC), providing business support, troubleshooting, and alignment on treasury and corporate tax activities.
· Credit & Dealer Programs: Manage complex dealer credit procedures, including rebates, co-op advertising tracking, and Special Price Quotes (SPQ).
· Master Data & Cash Flow: Monitor and maintain the health of AR and AP master data, executing swift corrective actions to optimize cash flow.
· Expense & Budget Control: Review and analyze corporate expenses (including Concur reports and indirect material POs) to support the Controller in budgeting and tight expense control.
· Compliance & Reporting: Oversee the corporate sales tax process, support customer service tax inquiries, and
collect essential data for ESG reports, insurance surveys, and annual tax packages.
· Internal Controls: Assist the unit Controller in actively monitoring, maintaining, and improving robust internal control processes.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical work experience.
· Experience: 7–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a global corporate structure.
· Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates coming out of a manufacturing or distribution environment.
· Technical Skills: SAP experience is strictly required. Solid, foundational grasp of US GAAP accounting principles.
· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of presenting financial insights clearly to senior financial and operational leadership.
· Location: Ability to work fully onsite at the facility in Thorofare, NJ.
