Senior Human Resources Generalist

Location: Hatfield, PA

Salary: $85,000 – $105,000

Build the plant. Build the culture. Own HR from day one.
This isn’t a “maintain the status quo” HR role. This is a build-it-from-scratch opportunity inside a brand-new, food-grade aluminum packaging plant opening in Hatfield, PA.
No inherited mess.
Just a clean slate, real ownership, and the chance to put your fingerprint on everything.
Why this role is different (and exciting)
  • Brand-new plant — literally opening its doors. You’re building HR from the ground up.
  • Backed by an established global manufacturer that already knows how to run successful operations.
  • Startup feel with real financial support — best of both worlds.
  • Starting with one shift, with plans to grow into continuous production.
  • This role can evolve into HR Manager / U.S. HR Lead as the plant scales.
If you love autonomy, visibility, and being the HR person — keep reading.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the go-to HR partner on the plant floor, working closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team.
Early focus: hiring & scaling
  • Own hourly recruiting (operators, inspectors, technicians)
  • Run onboarding and help scale the workforce as production ramps up
  • Be deeply involved in building a strong hourly workforce from day one
    Build the HR foundation
  • Create policies, handbook, attendance programs, onboarding processes, and documentation
  • Set up compliance basics and HR processes — no fancy systems yet, just smart, practical solutions
    Employee relations, the real kind
  • Handle performance issues, documentation, investigations, and day-to-day ER
  • Be visible and approachable on the floor — this is hands-on, shop-floor HR, not a desk job
    HR admin & compliance
  • I-9s, files, postings, audits, new hire reporting
  • Support OSHA admin and training tracking (you won’t be the Safety Manager)
What they’re looking for
  • Experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing or plant environment (startup experience is a plus!)
  • Comfort working with a heavy hourly workforce
  • Someone hands-on, scrappy, and resourceful
  • You like ownership, autonomy, and building systems — not inheriting them
  • You’re comfortable being on the floor, talking to employees, and solving real problems
If you need a big HR team and tons of structure, this won’t be your place.
If you want to build something meaningful, this could be a career-defining role.
