Production Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Newton, NC

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000

A growing manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead operations in a fast-paced converting and packaging facility. This hands-on leadership role will oversee production staff, ensure efficient output, and drive continuous improvement across quality, safety, and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of production and shift leads to meet daily schedules and quality targets

• Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

• Plan and coordinate workflow, equipment utilization, and material needs

• Partner with maintenance and quality to resolve issues impacting uptime and product quality

• Engage employees through training, coaching, and performance feedback

• Support improvement initiatives that reduce waste, enhance throughput, and improve consistency

• Track and report production data, shift performance, and staffing needs

• Lead by example in enforcing policies and promoting teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical or business coursework preferred

• 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong communication and leadership skills across all levels

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production tracking systems

• Solid understanding of lean or continuous improvement concepts

• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a plant environment
