Plant Controller

Location: Louisville, KY

Salary: $110,000 – $120,000

An established manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial activities at its Louisville, KY facility and provide additional support to a sister site in Hastings, NE. The Louisville plant generates roughly $40M in revenue with a team of 100+ employees; Hastings operates at a similar scale. This role is part of the Louisville leadership team, reporting to the Finance Manager, and plays a critical part in driving accuracy, compliance, and cost efficiency across both operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct financial management for the Louisville site while supporting financial reporting and oversight for Hastings • Own monthly close, forecasts, and annual budget processes for both plants

• Prepare and communicate analysis of performance results, cost drivers, and variance explanations

• Partner with operations leaders to strengthen financial controls and ensure accurate reporting

• Provide insight and recommendations to improve efficiency, cost structure, and profitability

• Uphold corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA or MBA a plus)

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required; packaging industry background preferred

• Strong track record managing financials across multiple locations

• Effective leader with experience mentoring and developing teams in both onsite and remote settings

• Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions

• Highly analytical with a focus on process improvement and operational support
