Pipefitter Foreman
Location: Peru, IN
Salary: $95,000 – $100,000
A major manufacturing facility in the Peru area is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman to lead industrial piping and mechanical installation work across its mill and conversion operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on coordinating crews, ensuring quality installations, and maintaining safety and uptime in a high-performance industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead daily activities for pipefitting crews on maintenance and capital projects
· Oversee installation, repair, and layout of piping systems, valves, and related mechanical components
· Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
· Plan, assign, and inspect work to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance
· Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to minimize downtime
· Enforce all safety procedures and conduct daily job safety meetings
· Track labor, materials, and progress reports for assigned projects
· Train and mentor pipefitters and apprentices on proper techniques and safety practices
Qualifications
· 7+ years of pipefitting experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting
· 2+ years of crew leadership or foreman experience
· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex systems
· Ability to read and work from schematics and fabrication drawings
· Knowledge of welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus
· Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
