Estimator

Location: Ambler, PA

Salary: $90,000 – $125,000

We’re seeking an experienced Estimator with strong industry knowledge and relationships to lead and support successful bidding activities. This role partners closely with executive leadership to evaluate, prepare, and submit competitive bids across public and private projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and coordinate projects for bid through bid services, existing clients, and new customers
  • Partner with the COO to select projects and manage the bid board
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, addendums, RFIs, and site conditions
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite walkthroughs
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Obtain pricing from subcontractors (min. 3 per scope) and vendors (min. 2 for materials)
  • Coordinate bid documentation including bonds and required forms
  • Track bid results, hit rates, and maintain estimating data
  • Lead turnover meetings with Project Managers after award

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of field experience; 2+ years in estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and bidding processes
  • Advanced skills in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
