Corporate Farm Manager
Location: Reading, PA – Eastern Pennsylvania (Multi-Site Role)
Compensation: Up to $75,000 annually + Benefits + Transportation covered
A well-established, family-owned poultry company is seeking an experienced Corporate Farm Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple breeder and grow-out farms in Eastern Pennsylvania.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing farm teams, ensuring animal welfare standards, driving operational performance, and supporting production goals across several locations. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has strong livestock or poultry management experience, and enjoys working alongside teams in the field.
What You’ll Do
● Lead, coach, and develop farm employees across multiple locations.
● Participate in daily farm operations while providing leadership and direction to on-site teams.
● Monitor production performance, including mortality, marketability, feed conversion, weights, and operating costs.
● Drive labor, facility, and operational efficiencies while maintaining high animal welfare standards.
● Assist with planning and execution of vaccinations, bird movements, inventory counts, and other key production activities.
● Partner with production, veterinary, and maintenance teams to address operational and animal health concerns.
● Implement and improve farm processes, procedures, and accountability measures.
● Support capital improvement projects and operational initiatives.
● Ensure compliance with company policies, animal welfare standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
● Travel regularly between company-owned farms throughout the region.
Qualifications
Required
● Bilingual English/Spanish.
● Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in agriculture, livestock, poultry, dairy, swine, or related operations.
● Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
● Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
● Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic computer systems.
Preferred
● Poultry production experience.
● Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business, or related field.
● Experience managing production metrics and operational performance.
● Knowledge of animal welfare programs, biosecurity, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Work Environment
This role requires regular travel between farm locations and active participation in farm operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in agricultural environments and performing physical tasks as needed.
Requirements include:
● Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
● Lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
● Operating vehicles and traveling between multiple locations.
● Working in environments with dust, odors, livestock, and varying weather conditions.
