Plant Manager
Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA
Salary: $80,000
We are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager to oversee a small production team. You’ll manage overall operations and maintenance, ensure safety and quality, and drive efficiency while supporting and developing your team.
Responsibilities:
● Lead plant operations and implement policies and procedures.
● Develop production schedules and oversee production team.
● Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA) and quality standards.
● Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
● Monitor plant performance, identify constraints, and implement process improvements.
● Manage staffing, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
● Maintain accurate plant data, inventory, and cost control.
● Coordinate with other departments to meet customer and production goals.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; specialized training provided.
● 5–10 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing.
● Knowledge of ISO standards, OSHA regulations, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
● Experience with short run, long run, and quick-change manufacturing strategies.
● Strong planning, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, tolerate loud noise and extreme temperatures, and perform visual inspections.
● Sit/stand for extended periods and operate computers daily.
