Food Safety Quality Assurance Director
Location: Reading, PA
Salary: $105,000 – $125,000
Join a growing food manufacturing company as a Quality Assurance Manager, where you’ll lead QA operations to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance with USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee QA programs and staff across production areas
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and food safety standards
· Maintain accurate USDA, FDA, and HACCP documentation
· Lead audit readiness and work directly with inspectors
· Develop and maintain SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP plans
· Mentor and support QA team members
· Monitor QA supply needs and inventory
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality initiatives
· Conduct performance evaluations and ensure ongoing training
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field
· 5+ years of QA supervisory experience (poultry/food industry preferred)
· Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, and USDA regulations
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
· Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Willingness to travel to other facilities as needed
