Controls Engineer / Controls Technician
Location: Maiden, NC
Salary: $105,000 – $115,000
We’re hiring a hands-on Controls Engineer to keep production equipment running safely and reliably at a manufacturing facility in Maiden, NC. This is a shop-floor role for someone who likes fixing problems, working with PLCs, and keeping lines moving.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade industrial control systems
• Work on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, drives, servos, motors, breakers, sensors, and power supplies
• Download, modify, back up, and maintain PLC and HMI programs
• Support breakdowns, startups, shutdowns, and planned maintenance
• Work closely with maintenance and production to reduce downtime and improve flow
• Read and use electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
• Help identify safety, quality, and efficiency improvements
• Be part of an on-call rotation as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• 3–5 years hands-on experience programming PLCs and HMIs
• Experience with Rockwell (RSLogix, Studio 5000) and/or Siemens platforms
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting
• Comfortable working around high-speed manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule and Pay
• Monday–Friday, day shift
• On-call rotation required
• Salary range: $105,000–$115,000
