Construction Project Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
A rapidly expanding design-build contractor specializing in cleanrooms and high-tech manufacturing facilities is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing team. This role is opening because two current Project Engineers are being promoted into Project Manager positions—proof of a real and achievable advancement path.
This position is ideal for someone with strong construction coordination experience and professional-level PROCORE skills. The work resembles a junior Project Manager role, offering meaningful responsibility and direct involvement in complex, modern construction projects.
Responsibilities
• Support Project Managers throughout all phases of project delivery
• Manage submittals, RFIs, documentation, and project controls
• Coordinate design reviews and assist with schedule management
• Support development of scopes of work and subcontractor onboarding
• Perform takeoffs, track procurement activities, and assist with budgets
• Assist in developing quality and safety plans
• Partner with field teams on installation sequencing and constructability
• Review project data to identify risks and drive process improvement
• Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports
Qualifications
• PROCORE experience required
• 1–3 years in construction management, engineering, or related work
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
• Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
