Civil Engineer Project Manager
Location: Somerville, NJ
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000
Are you a driven Civil Engineer ready to take the lead on exciting site design and land development projects? Join our dynamic team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping residential, commercial, and institutional developments across the region.
We’re looking for a proactive Project Manager (Civil Site Design) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about thoughtful, sustainable engineering.
What You’ll Do
· Lead and manage diverse projects – from concept through final approvals – including residential, commercial, multi-use, and educational developments.
· Oversee site design, grading, utility layout, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, and compliance with local and state regulations.
· Navigate the permitting process (e.g., NJDEP), zoning requirements, and subdivision/site plan approvals.
· Collaborate daily with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver quality results on time.
· Prepare and review engineering plans, reports, and documentation.
· Balance multiple projects and deadlines with professionalism and efficiency.
What You Bring
· E.I.T. Required; P.E. License in NJ Preferred
· 5–10+ years of relevant experience in civil/site design and land development
· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD (or equivalent stormwater design tools)
· Deep understanding of stormwater management, grading, erosion & sediment control, and utility design
· Familiarity with regulatory processes and NJ permitting
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· High attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
· Exceptional time management and organizational skills
