Growing, profitable professional services company is seeking an experienced infrastructure expert and manager to play an active role in the design, and implementation of their network and associated technology. The goal is to insure all available technical capabilities are being vetted, proposed and intelligently leveraged to the benefit of the organization’s growth and operational efficiency.
Job Summary:
- Architect, implement, operate, manage, and integrate complex enterprise IT systems and infrastructure both internally and externally having to do with client deliverables.
- Define and maintain technology and integration models, and the conceptual and logical application and infrastructure patterns and services.
- Provide the expertise and guidance to peers, leadership and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the Software department’s solution strategies.
l Provide technical IT expertise to, and assist in, the selection of new hardware and software platforms which assists in attaining the enterprise architecture principles, policies and standards.
- Document the infrastructure architecture environment and procedures to insure infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.
- Assist in design and setup of client secure remote VPN connections.
- Assist in supporting provided infrastructure to our clients.
Abilities Required:
- Experience in Windows & Exchange administration
- Network topology and infrastructure expertise
- Strong understanding of Virtual Private Networking
- Working knowledge of server and workstation infrastructure
- Strong understanding of high availability protocols and architecture
- Ability to keep up with technology trends and emerging best practices to consistently evolve current solutions
- Working knowledge of storage area network and network attached storage systems
- Working knowledge of hand-held devices and their integration into VPN
- Ability to understand and diagnose client-server architecture
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
